- SAARATHI NEPAL aims to improve the quality of life for families living with HIV and drug users in Nepal by providing opportunities for empowerment, taking control of issues controlling their life. Empowerment of families living with HIV and drug addiction concerns not only health related issues but the protection of human rights, involvement in the development of policy, non discriminatory access to the legal and health care system and the education of the wider community. The involvement in SAARATHI NEPAL is open to all people living with HIV and recovering drug users, irrespective of gender, caste, religion or sexual orientation provided that they believe in the mission statement of SAARATHI NEPAL. SAARATHI NEPAL is in the unique position of being able to truthfully represent the needs of PLHIV, Drug Users (DUs), recovering Drug Users, affected families, students, and community as a whole. An ongoing contact with the positive individuals and group in the different region and cities allows SAARATHI NEPAL to raise issues in favor of affected families living with HIV and Drug Users at the local community level as well as regional and national levels.
